The MSU Writing Center serves MSU students, faculty, and staff. They offer a variety of appointment options: face-to-face, virtual (using webcams and screen sharing), and email feedback. Get started by creating an account.
Writing Center Consultants have a considerable amount of experience assisting students in preparing for their Praxis Core Writing Tests. After you take a practice test in PrepSTEP you can copy and paste your essays into a word document to share with a consultant for their feedback.
Practice tests and eBooks to help prepare you for both the Praxis Core and Praxis II tests. After taking the practice tests, tutorials and other help resources will be recommended to you based on your scores. To access the Praxis resources go to the Career Preparation Center --> Prepare for an Occupation Exam--> Teaching.
When off-campus, you will be directed to log in from a page labeled ODIN, prior to accessing this resource. You will then need to create an account with PrepSTEP to take the practice tests.
Students currently receiving financial aid may be awarded a fee waiver for their Praxis tests. To apply you need a copy of your FAFSA SAR which is your processed FAFSA and available through fafsa.gov. You will also need an Enrollment Verification Certificate which is available in Campus Solutions. The Academic Records website includes a How To section with additional information to assist you in accessing the certificate.
